How Can I Lose Ten Pounds Before My Wedding?
Posted by admin in Prescription Obesity Drugs, Weight Loss on May 05th, 2009
That big day was slowly coming up. I checked that calender on the wall. One month to go. In one month i would be marrying my partner.
But there was one snag here. i had been shopping for a dress/suit and most of them were a good fit if could i lose ten pounds before my wedding.
Oh my dear, how can i lose ten pounds before my wedding. Surely there must be a way. I know for a fact that if i lose some weight i will look fantastic. My partner will be very proud of me.
As the day drew to a close i wrestled with the problem. The next morning while i was at work i got a phone call from my partner who said that there was a personal trainer in their office who was willing to train me and give me all the advice i need to lose ten pounds before my wedding.
So the next day i met up with the personal trainer and he drew up a fitness and nutrition plan to whip me into shape so that i could fit into my wedding dress/suit.
The plan was as follows:
Get to bed early and wake up early.
Yes, i had to change some habits. No more late nights for me. I was in bed by 11pm and up by 6pm every morning.
Exercise on an empty stomach.
Not only did i go to bed at 11pm and have 8 hours sleep but when i woke up in the morning i worked out. My exercise program consisted of body weight exercises done for 15 to 20 minutes monday, wednesday and friday. Then on tuesday, thursday and saturday i did sprint circuits.
Eat breakfast after workout.
After my workout i had breakfast. My breakfast did not consist of the usual high fat breakfast i.e bacon and eggs, black pudding, toast and tomatoes. None of the saturated crap.
My personal trainer taught me how to eat healthily by eating whole grain bread, skim milk, boiled eggs, green tea and tomatoes.
Eat every three hours throughout the day.
After breakfast i would remain active even though i have a sedentary job. Every hour i would get up from my desk and stroll around the office for a few minutes. Also i ate healthy food every three hours.
Don’t eat after 6pm.
I was told never to eat after 6pm. So from the time i had breakfast till about 6pm i had about four nutritious meals. The reason i was told not to eat after 6pm was because in the evening most people were inactive. Probably watching television or on the computer. So if one was to eat during this time the food would be stored as fat since it was not being burnt though activity.
Drink Plenty of water.
I would not have thought that drinking alcohol was one of the major causes of weight gain. All i drink now is plenty of water. This helps me feel full and helps me burn fat.
Two days to go till my wedding and i have actually lost 12 pounds. I am so happy. Can’t wait to put on my wedding dress/suit and walk down the alter.
