How to Set Goals For Yourself If You Are Obese - If You Really Want to Learn How

Learning how to set goals is like learning how to read, write or count. It takes the desire to learn something new and the skills to start applying the new knowledge to work for you. We often assume that a goal is a short term objective that will end with the desired result. Don’t fool yourself, a goal must be life changing and forever just like the reading, writing and counting.
All you have learned in school is stored away in your mind’s safety deposit box and you are the only person holding the key. Here is how to do it.
- Visualize what you want the end result to be. You need to implant a picture in your mind of what your end result will be ?Can you see yourself riding your first bicycle? Do you remember the feeling you had when you realized you were driving the bicycle on your own? That feeling is everlasting and you will never forget it. Visualization of yourself riding that bike started a long time before you got on the bike. That’s the way you need to visualize yourself at your new weight if you are obese. You must have the same determination has you did riding that bike
- Write it down. Practise makes perfect. Write it down and practise, over and over again. The first time your teacher held your hand to steady your writing skills you trembled and needed to practise over and over again. Writing your goal down is the same thing, you need to constantly be reviewing it, adding to it, until you have it planted in your mind. It must be part of who you are. You can only dream of the result if you can feel it as though it were already done. You goal must be in you, part of your inner most feelings. Like your signature, it must be your life changing signature for your body.
How to set goals is as important as the final result. If you get it just right, you will be in awe of yourself forever. Food for thought.
